When choosing a Hypnotherapist you need to know you can trust their skill, experience, confidentiality and effectiveness. You should also determine if you feel comfortable with them.
Ask your Hypnotherapist:
Hypnosis is a natural state of mind which happens to everyone several times throughout the day. Drivers have all had the experience of safely driving somewhere without any recollection of how they got there or what they saw along the way because Highway trance is one of the most recognizable experiences of hypnosis. So is the ability to enjoy a good movie or a great book.
A Hypnotist uses Hypnosis to create a heightened state of focus and awareness where the client gains access to internal resources and abilities normally outside the range of client's conscious control.
In fact, after being hypnotized and encountering this heightened state of awareness or super-consciousness, many clients remark that they weren't hypnotized because they were completely aware of everything that was said and done while they had their eyes closed, and that they have this very pleasant feeling of well-being and relaxation.
If hypnotists really had this ability, we wouldn't need to work such long hours. Instead we would just wave our hand, use the Force and utter something like "These aren't the droids you're looking for," as Hollywood would have you believe.
In actuality if we had the ability to control minds, the newspapers would be full of stories proclaiming "Hypnotist Uses Mind Control to End Crime, Stop Wars and Eliminates Child Abuse" Unfortunately, that isn't reality.
Hypnosis is economically viable both in terms of treatment dollars spent and the effective rate of treatment. It's fast, safe and effective according to research from Dr. Alfred Barrios:
Effective Rate of Treatment:
With hypnosis, clients heal faster and return to a productive life faster, without long-term care or complications.
